Do you "compromise" the truth of the life of Christ, by the way you live your life?
1 Timothy 2:1-15, Paul says, "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. This is good and pleases our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus. He gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time. And I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth. I am not exaggerating, just telling the truth.
In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.
And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.
Women should learn quiet and submissively. I do not let women teach men or have athority over them. Let them listen quietly. For God made Adam first, and afterwards He made Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result. But women will be saved through childbearing, assuming they continue to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty".....
Wow! Our society has seemed to skip over these "truths" in the Bible! There's a few things I want to mention, that are truths mentioned, but are being neglected by most, if not all of today's church-going congregations. First, "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people." 99% of today's church-going congregations do not pray at all! And, do you want to know why our church-going congregations are not able to pray? It's because of the absence of (1) Christ in them; (2) the Holy Spirit's work in them; and (3) a reflection that 99% of this world is living by faith without TRUTH!!! Living by faith won't have any affect on who you are, if the truth of Christ has not manifested itself in you! Which leads me to my second point from this passage. Second, "In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy." Men, women, and kids, they don't know what it takes to even allow their hands to be lifted up to God! The reason why our church congregation aren't lifting their hands to God in worship, is because, they are more worried about looking around, at who might be watching, and not responding to the One supposively living in them! For one to want to lift up their hands, in worship to God, they must have Christ Jesus on the throne of their hearts, as most of this world doesn't! And thirdly, and the most visible noticable truth that is being compromised: "And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do." I do not know a women anywhere that lives by these words from Paul, mentioned in God's Word! Women will take hours to make sure they are drawing attention to themselves by the way they appear, either with how short their dress is, or the amount of make-up they put on, or the amount of jewelry they wear! And don't yell at me for bring these truths, that are being blatantly rejected, to the table. Read it again for yourself! casual dress for weddings
Compromising God's Word
means that Christ, and
His Word,
ARE NOT ALIVE IN YOU!
Need to change the way you are choosing to live your lifestyle?
